From September 25th to 29th, 2023, in Saarbrücken (Germany) the University of Saarland is hosting 24 newly elected Deans (and Vice-Deans) from Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay and Peru. The purpose of this gathering is to carry out the first face-to-face module of the International Deans’ Course Latin-American, co-financed by DAAD and HRK through the DIES programme. This 4-module course is meant to provide up-to-date knowledge on the fundamental changes in higher education management in Europe and around the world. Participants will gain an understanding of instruments for the management of HEI and will learn to implement these instruments at their home institutions.
Consequently, the programme will build bridges between HEI in Latin America, Germany and Spain, enabling all sides to use the knowledge about each other for further contacts in teaching, research and administration.
